Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy

HOCHTIEF CZ a. s., Division Traffic Infrastructure

Project type:

Transport infrastructure

Construction period:

05/2017 – 10/2018

The public contract comprises reconstruction of platforms at the Museum Metro Station on Line A. The reconstruction does not cover platforms at the Museum Metro Station on Line C, nor escalators (but the works are carried out in the direct access escalator tunnel as well). On platforms of the Museum Metro Station on Line A, both the public and service facilities are revamped, which involves construction works and technology.

All works are carried out with the passenger traffic preserved. In the outside track tunnels, the works are always carried out on one track only, during service disruptions from 1:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. Works on the scaffolding in the central part will also be carried out only during the service disruptions at night. Works in the service areas are in full swing, twenty-four hours a day.

Construction works in the station tunnels and in the technological facilities comprise:

-           Removal of stone tiles and aluminium ceilings incl. load bearing structures

-           Removal of the existing laminate layers (drainage system) under the tiles

-           Cleaning and rehabilitation of cast-iron lining components, measures to avoid seepage

-           Installation of a new system of stainless steel lining components and stone tiles (imported from Macedonia like the original ones)

-           Replacement of platform edges and repair of granite paving slabs

-           Installation of new lights

-           Reconstruction of drainage system

-           Replacement of air-conditioning system and cables

-           Replacement, adjustment or relocation of switchboards

-           Other concurrent works in the technological facilities

The scope of work of the public contract covers all ancillary or auxiliary activities leading to a successful handover, final inspection and approval and commissioning of the project (e.g. certificates, tests, inspection reports and other specified documents etc.). It also includes preparation of execution design documents and as-built design.
