Sedlec-Prčice, Wastewater Treatment Plant and Sewerage
The conglomerate of Sedlec and Prčice municipalities is building a sewerage system and wastewater treatment plant co-funded by the European Union.

| Description: | Construction 1 - Wastewater treatment plant Sedlec - Prčice The purpose of the reconstruction is to achieve the required and real treatment effects in order to meet compliance limits even during high inflow of storm water. The wastewater treatment plant reconstruction will enable to treat current and estimated future (by 2020) quantities of wastewater which will represent the target capacity of 2550 equivalent population. The changes and augmentation of the existing wastewater treatment plant will not utilize the current technology, however, all the existing objects will be used to the maximum extent. A system has been designed for low-load, continually flow-through activated sludge process with nitrification and denitrification, with a new machinery and process technology on the main technology line and simultaneous phosphorus precipitation. The intensification has been designed so that the quality of treated wastewater discharged into the watercourse is in compliance with a resolution issued by the water-management authority and in compliance with applicable regulations which specify parameters and levels of permissible water contamination. Construction 2 - Sewerage in Sedlec The project includes development of a new sewerage system in the cadastral areas Sedlec and Uhřice. Municipal wastewater will be removed via sewers into the wastewater treatment plant in Sedlec to be completely treated. The sewerage system in Sedlec has been designed as combined. Construction 3 – Sewerage in Prčice The construction will be implemented on land plots in the cadastral areas Prčice and Sedlec. It involves development of a new separated sewerage system in Prčice; wastewater will be removed via sewers to the wastewater treatment plant in Sedlec to be completely treated. |
