Tunnel builders are preparing to start driving
After a phase of intensive project preparation in yellow FIDIC conditions, the work on one of our most important projects, Highway D3 Žilina (Strážov) – Žilina (Brodno) are almost up and running.
Works are documented by captions of one of the most important objects – SO 403 Central part – portals for driving works, which immediately precede the driving of both tunnel pipes. Our tunnel builders consider commencing driving of four faces (i.e. driving in both tunnel pipes concurrently towards west and east) in complex geological conditions under the protection of so-called “turtle” or rather micropile umbrella.
