We are building a new fire station in Šumperk

On Monday, 7 September at 2:30 p.m. a project commencement ceremony – tapping on the foundation stone on the occasion of start of construction of a central station and head office of the Regional Department Šumperk took place in the premises of the former fire station in Šumperk in the Nemocniční Street.

The ceremony of tapping on the foundation stone was attended by the CEO of the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic Brig Gen Ing. Drahoslav Ryba together with his Deputy for Economy Col Mgr. Bc. Slavomír Bell, MSc., Governor of the Olomouc Region Ing. Jiří Rozbořil, Mgr. Zdeněk Brož, Senator of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and Mayor of Šumperk, Ing. Roman Váňa, Member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and Chairman of the Security Committee, representatives of the general contractor – HOCHTIEF CZ, a. s., a representative of the client´s engineer and a representative of the general designer.

Construction of a new fire station and head office of the Regional Department Šumperk is carried out in the existing premises in the Nemocniční Street in Šumperk. In the first stage, all existing structures were demolished and subsequently appropriate facilities for the fire protection unit, garages for fire engines, special services workshops, i.e. mechanical, chemical, technical and communication, rooms to be used by public authorities, storage of humanitarian aid material etc. will be built at the same place.
