Eden is the most sophisticated arena of its kind in the Czech Republic. It combines various functions – as well as being football stadium for 21 000 visitors it provides commercial and office area, hotel, underground and above ground parking and a restaurant. Concept of the complex is an open area available to the visitors throughout the week, month and year.

Leaving aside the matches of SK Slavia Praha or the national team of the Czech Republic, cultural events such as musical groups’ concerts will be organized here.

VIP boxes and the club floor are located in the west wing, the heart of the complex. Boxes are for hire in three categories. There are 5 silver boxes and 24 gold boxes on the first floor. On the third floor 10 platinum boxes with the highest standard are placed.

Commercial and office spaces are situated in the west wing. The commercial zone offers more then 800 square meters, offices take up over 2 400 square meters. Renting of the offices is arranged by company Knight Frank. They are placed in south western part of the complex over four floors (2. - 5. aboveground floors).

Part of the north wing is four star hotel with capacity of 150 rooms, two of which have a view of the new stadium. New Iris Congress Hotel is furnished with lobby bar, restaurant and congress centre. The conference room seats 250 people and is fully equipped by audiovisual technology. Internet, satellite TV, mini bar and safe are available in fully air-conditioned modern rooms. Milestones in Eden
Friday, September 15th, 2006 – Hochtief CZ took over the site and started with the construction of the base.
Monday, October 16th, 2006 – Number of guests of honour at laying of the cornerstone in Eden.
October 2006 – The earth works are starting. First the terrain grading.
Tuesday, November 28th, 2006 – After the terrain grading the pile foundation of the construction is being started.
Thursday, January 11th, 2007 – Fans can watch the site through web camera.
Monday February 5th, 2007 – Installation of the precast structures has commenced. In the north east part of the site the first column was installed.
Monday February 26th, 2007 – The southern tribune started to grow.
Thursday, March 1st, 2007 – Stadium was visited by the first fans. The winner of the competition from www.stadioneden.cz was accompanied by Slavia sweeper Dušan Švento.
Monday, March 5th, 2007 – Pile foundation of the site is completed. The stadium will stand on 603 piles the last of which was installed in north east part of the stadium.
Monday, March 19th, 2007 – The north tribune is growing.
Wednesday, May 9th, 2007, 14:10 – The first pillar of the west stands was installed, the most difficult part of the complex.
Monday, June 18th, 2007 – The first segments of the steel roof structure were being brought in.
Thursday, July 26th, 2007 – The winner of Champion League Vladimír Šmicer visited new Eden for the first time.
Wednesday, August 29th 2007 – The first segment of the roof was lifted up. The installed structure of the east stands weighed thirty eight tones.
Wednesday, October 31st 2007 – E Side published the availability of the VIP boxes and office and commercial spaces for rental.
Friday, November 9th 2007 – Slavia started the sale of the permanent passes for Eden (www.permice.slavia.cz).
Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 – First official event took place in new Eden. The works on the completion of the complex continue.


Interesting facts about the construction
• Terraces consist of nearly 13,5 kilometres of concrete benches, to which seats for 21 000 visitors will be attached. It is the distance as the crow flies from the edge of Prague to Kladno.
• Football stadium is borne by 603 piles of total length over 6,8 km.
It is the same distance as from the site to the historical centre of Prague.
• 6 500 m3 of reinforced concrete will be used for the reinforced concrete part of the structure, which could fill the Wenceslas’ square to the level of 12 centimetres.
• The bricked part of the stadium will take 4750 m3 of bricks (Porotherm and Liapor), which could build a wall 5,25 km long, 3 meters high and 30 centimetres wide.
