We’ve completed a new production hall for Kiekert
Přelouč – Division Building Moravia of HOCHTIEF CZ handed over a new production to the company Kiekert AG, which is one of the top German producers of innovative technologies for locking systems in the automotive industry. The construction, which took 9 months, expands the production area by 10,000 m2.
The handover was attended by the Chairman of the Executive Board of Kiekert AG Dr. Karl Krause and the CEO of plant Kiekert CS Georg Stappen. On behalf of the supplier the symbolic keys to the hall were handed over by the Member of the Executive Board and CFO Jörg Mathew and the Director of Division David Horák. Invitations were also accepted among others by the Governor of the Pardubice Region JUDr. Martin Netolický, Ph.D. and the Mayor of Přelouč Bc. Irena Burešová.
Extension of the production plant took into consideration the increasing demand and increasing international sales of the plant. The new two-storey production building increases the area of the plant to 55,000 m2. Seven new production lines will increase the capacity from current 22 million locks to more than 35 million. The construction also included a modern canteen and further 120 parking spaces directly on premises of the plant. Power supply in the entire complex was also renewed.
Currently our workers are executing further adjustments. An old production hall of 3,000 m2 is being reconstructed to a new logistics hall.
