We handed over a new senior house in Prague

New facility for seniors that is named after a famous Czech actress Zita Kabátová was officially opened. The opening was attended by many members of the public.

The five-floor senior house emerged from the reconstruction of an old object. The senior house is located in a quiet part of Prague 13 and spans over an area of 950 m².

The new facility contains a total of 72 rooms located on all five floors. Individual floors also contain nurses’ room, cleaning rooms and centrally located community areas. It is designed to hold 110 beds of which 76 will be in double rooms and 34 in single rooms with bathrooms. The building also holds premises for a physician and space for location and operation of rehabilitation equipment etc.

Each floor has a small terrace connected to community area. Besides rooms for seniors, the ground floor also contains the central reception, staff room incl. sanitary facilities, laundry, canteen and kitchen. Ground floor premises will also be used to hold lectures and events.

The building is completely barrier free and thus the age or health condition is not a limiting factor. A small garden with paths and benches is located in front of the building. The land surrounding the senior house was used to locate 245 parking spaces.
