The long-awaited completion of the Senior House in Uhlířské Janovice has been launched today, on 21 July 2014, by ceremonial ribbon-cutting in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bohemian region Ing. Miloš Petera, the Head of the Social Services Department Ing. Václav Váňa, a representative of the Regional Operational Programme Ing. Tomáš Oliva, the Director of Domov Na Terasách Ing. Jana Pivoňková and Roman Mistoler from our company.

Completion of the project under the official name “Senior House Uhlířské Janovice – Completion of an Existing Building” will significantly increase the bed capacity of assisted living facilities in the area of the Central Bohemian region, especially in the area of Kutná Hora, Kolín and Benešov. The area of Kutná Hora has for example 8,477 inhabitants older than 65 years and the current capacity of five facilities for seniors is only 266 beds. After completion of the senior house in Uhlířské Janovice, the building will be used by clients from the senior house “Na Terasách” in Rataje, where it is currently in rented premises. In Rataje, due to capacity they are currently able to provide care to only 24 seniors, 14 of them may be the clients with the so called special regime – i.e. clients with Alzheimer disease. After moving to the new premises in Uhlířské Janovice, the capacity of the senior house will be multiplied by six to a total number of 154 beds. In the area of Kutná Hora, the bed capacity in senior houses will thus suddenly increase to 424.

The project Senior House in Uhlířské Janovice is funded by the European Union through European Regional Development Fund and by the Central Bohemian region.

The total cost for the completion of the senior house is CZK 137 million. Part of these costs in the amount of CZK 85 million will be paid through a subsidy that the House “Na Terasách” Rataje has received from the Regional Operational Programme Central Bohemia

The completion of the construction is planned at the end of June 2015.
