Jörg Mathew was elected the new President of the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

It took place on 3 May, on the occasion of visit of the Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology IIse Aigner at this year's Member's Meeting of the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DTIHK) in Prague.

Jörg Mathew is the Member of the Executive Board of HOCHTIEF CZ responsible for economics and finance and he replaces Axel Limberg in the position of the President. In his introductory speech, he announced that it is a great honour to him to be the President of the institution, which has such a good reputation in the bilateral economic sphere, politics and science and research as well. “In the previous years, the DTIHK has been very successful in enforcing the themes of industry 4.0 and start-ups to the Czech political environment and it will continue to do so; this year for example by its TopTheme Intelligent Infrastructure. I look forward to my responsible task and opportunity to contribute to further deepening of intensive Czech-German economic relations,” Jörg Mathew said.
