HOCHTIEF CZ completed and handed over to Prague a new section of metro line

On Easter Monday, five years of efforts of the builders working on extension of the metro line A were accomplished. HOCHTIEF CZ in a joint venture of suppliers built on the route two new stations (Bořislavka and Motol Hospital) and parts of the adjacent tunnels. HOCHTIEF CZ would like to follow up on this success in the upcoming projects of similar nature.

The first works on extension of the metro line A started in January 2010. The stations were opened after 3-week trial operation without passengers during which the technological systems in the stations and the connecting tunnels were comprehensively tested. In this time, the buildings were also finally inspected and approved and the inside of the stations was finally touched up. Opening of the new section was also preceded by replacement of the passenger information system in the Prague public transport taking more than a month. All stations of the new section, which is 6.134 km long, are accessible to disabled people.
