Construction of the Central Waste Water Treatment Plant has started

Construction of the Central Waste Water Treatment Plant on the island Císařský ostrov in Prague started with a ceremony of tapping on the foundation stone on 4 November 2015.

Now the four-member joint venture consisting of the construction companies HOCHTIEF CZ and SMP and technology suppliers – Degremont and Wassertechnik has 30 months to hand over the new water treatment line.

The overall rebuilding and extension of the Central Waste Water Treatment Plant is an investment of the City of Prague and it comprises the total of eight stages. Now the first stage – New Water Treatment Line, a part of stage 0007 – Main Pumping Station and Related Inlet Structures and stage 0008 – Compensatory Measures will be carried out.
