Part of the project, executed by the Division Bohemia of the joint stock company HOCHTIEF CZ, was also construction of hot water station CPS 1 with an output power of 89 MW and supply steam ducts in the length of circa 700 meters. The works were launched in May of the last year and to the end of March the technological part, surface treatment and landscaping are to be finished.

For the primary hot water mains of the both parts of the construction, the trenchless technology was used of pre-insulated ducts, lead predominantly through the routes of the existing steam ducts. In keeping with the construction permission some parts had to be resolved by short sections of new routes. In the par two of the construction, where also the steam ducts were constructed, the trenchless technology steel in steel was used. Hot water will be prepared in the central delivery station CPS 1 – steam/hot water. Then it will be connected to the hot water system of the already designed central delivery station CPS 2 and connected to the newly constructed system.

Because the vast majority of the heat is supplied to the residents of prefab housing estates Máj and Šumava and local educational institutions, the savings the change will bring to them will be significant. So the new hot water system will please not only environment, but also the local families.
