Occupational Safety and Health Policy

HOCHTIEF CZ a.s. is bound by its tradition and position on the construction market in the Czech Republic to create optimal occupational safety and health conditions for its employees who carry on the tradition and ensure further company development.

We consider as natural to comply with the legal regulations and company management documents regarding occupational safety and health.

We consider the occupational safety and health issue to be a regular and inseparable part of the job description for managers at all management levels.

All company employees are jointly responsible for applying the principles of the Occupational Safety and Health Policy.

Occupational Safety and Health Policy:

  1. Occupational Safety and Health belongs to top priorities in the company management system.
  2. Risk prevention creates safety - there is no workplace with zero risk.
  3. We involve employees in the solution of occupational safety and health problems to create cooperative relationship - each employee within his/her limits cares for his/her own occupational safety and health and the safety and health of those who are directly influenced by his/her actions.
  4. Each employee is personally responsible for compliance with occupational safety and health regulations at his/her workplace.
  5. Government Inspection Authorities are viewed as partners in implementation of the company's Safety and Health Policy.
  6. We select and evaluate our subcontractors taking into consideration their ability to comply with the company's Occupational Safety and Health Policy.
  7. Technological regulations published by the company contain safety regulations for given tasks.
  8. We apply occupational safety and health requirements when acquiring fixed assets (machinery, equipment, tools.), technology and material.
  9. We put machines and technical equipment into operation only if they comply with relevant regulations and have passed stipulated tests, checks and revisions.
  10. Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations connected with each employee´s job is a requirement - systematic staff training helps to increase qualification and realize the importance of safe environment.
  11. The company's system of preventive health care ensures that no employee works in an environment not corresponding with his level of fitness.
  12. We are monitoring, evaluating and accepting reparatory measures, originating from these policies, which are intended to continuously improve the system of safaty and health protection at work.
