Environmental policies

HOCHTIEF CZ a.s., one of the foremost construction companies in the Czech Republic, has the intention to continuously and systematically improve its environmental profile in accordance with the developing environmental protection.

The implementation of the principles of the Environmental management system is the basic rule in HOCHTIEF CZ a.s., which directs the activities in such a way that besides the care of the client they also secure and support the protection of the environment.

Principles of the environmental management system:

  1. Environmental management system is one of the basic priorities of our company and is part of its management.
  2. Maintaining of concordance with the legal regulations and other conditions relating to the environmental protection is deemed as granted and as our permanent obligation.
  3. We are maintaining conditions for securing of safe and reliable operation in our company reflecting the important issues of the environmental protection (important environmental aspects):
    • prevention of pollution, including the segment of source utilization, is the basis for environmental protection within our company.
    • during the selection of materials, technologies and solving of investment programs we are striving to increase efficiency and effectiveness with a minimal impact onto the environment.
    • a great deal of attention is paid to ensuring of healthy working environment and consistent maintenance of conditions in the sphere of work hygiene.
  4. Within the education process we are systematically improving the awareness and knowledge needed to protect the environment, especially to prevent emergency situations.
  5. We are including our subcontractors into the environmental management system.
  6. We are regularly identifying and evaluating the influence of our activities onto the environment (environmental impacts). The results of these evaluations are used for constant improvement of processes within our company.
  7. We are providing information and communicating openly with the public and other interested parties about the impacts of our activities onto the environment.
