HOCHTIEF AG, established in 1875, is the largest German construction company. It is based in Essen and, with a total revenue of 17 billion USD in 2006, it is the most successful company in construction and related business worldwide.

HOCHTIEF Construction AG, organization unit

In 2003, an independent company belonging to the HOCHTIEF group was set up in the Czech Republic - HOCHTIEF Construction AG, the organisation unit. It focuses on building projects as well as special infrastructure projects, namely tunnels and bridges. It is active in many areas of Europe and has carried out a number of large and technically demanding projects. Examples of these include sections of the underground railway networks in Athens, Munich or Essen.
